A year after going 4-28 under first year head coach Doug Gottlieb, Green Bay finished the regular season with a winning record, 17-14, including a senior day win over Youngstown in which they commanded the lead from start to finish.
Seniors' Preston Ruedinger and Justin Allen combined for 40 of Green Bay's 85 while their defense held Youngstown to 63 for a 22-point victory.
The Phoenix made 17 field goals in both the first and second half, nearly shooting 60 percent in the afternoon affair.
Points in the paint showed the biggest difference, GB tallied 62 to just 36 for the Penguins.
Green Bay also snaps a 4-game losing skid against Youngstown including a loss earlier this season 88-81 on the road.
GB will now await their Horizon League tournament first-round opponent as teams finish regular season games and are seeded. The game will be played Tuesday, Mar. 3 with the Phoenix hosting.
