Green Bay's stifling defense was not present in the finale as they had just two steals while turning the ball over 24 times. That led to 27 points for Fort Wayne and helped mount a comeback in the fourth.
They trailed at halftime, but took the lead in the third quarter after holding the Mastodons to 12 points while putting up 19. However, they were outscored by 10 in the final frame.
GB shot just 25 percent from three and had two Phoenix in double figures, Meghan Schultz and Jenna Guyer. Schultz topped all scorers with 20.
Purdue's Alana Nelson grabbed 18 and was supported by Jordan Reid, Lili Krasovec, and Lauren Lee with double-digits.
Green Bay waits to find out their Horizon League tournament first-round opponent as they play the winner of the 10/11 seed matchup between Detroit Mercy and Milwaukee. The game will be played at the Kress Center Wednesday, Mar. 4 at 7 p.m.
