No miracles needed as the Green Bay Gamblers proved on Sunday that the cold never bothered them anyways, sweeping their annual Disney on Ice road trip with a 2-1 in over the Capitols in Madison on Sunday.
All the scoring took place in the second place with Landon Hafele and Zach Wooten sandwiching a Capitols goal with their own tallies to lead the Gamblers past their in-state rivals. Leo Henriquez was peppered with shots all afternoon, but earned the victory with 42 saves.
The Gamblers return to the Resch Center for five straight games, including a pair against Youngstown on Friday (7:05 p.m.) and Saturday (6:05 p.m.).
