Phoenix men dismantle Mastodons

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team used a 13-0 run to start the game to take the drama out of its 76-59 win over Purdue Fort Wayne in front of more than 2,500 fans at the Kress Center and thousands more watching on national television.

Justin Allen led the attack and was nearly outscoring the Mastodons himself early in the second half after the Phoenix entered the locker room with a 42-23 advantage. An early 6-0 run in the second half extended the Phoenix's lead to more than 20 points, and they were never threatened in the final 20 minutes.

Allen finished with a Division I career-high 34 points, while Marcus Hall scored 15 and C.J. O'Hara added 14. Corey Hadnot II scored 16 points to lead the Mastodons.

The Phoenix will play its rivalry game against Milwaukee on Sunday at 2 p.m. on the road.
