Gamblers fall in overtime at NTDP, slide to second in East

The Green Bay Gamblers dropped a tough overtime decision Saturday night, falling 6-5 to the USA Hockey National Team Development Program at USA Hockey Arena. Green Bay showed resilience throughout, with goals from Katz, Wooten, and Carcone, and briefly held a third-period lead before the NTDP tied the game late to force overtime. Meyer netted the game-winner 3:29 into the extra frame. The loss marks an up-and-down start to the second half of the season for the Gamblers and moves them into second place in the Eastern Conference, now trailing Youngstown. Green Bay will have a quick turnaround as they're back on the ice again tomorrow for a 3 p.m. puck drop.
