Packers' dismantle in fourth quarter vs Bears again

A 21-3 lead at halftime was erased with a 25-point fourth quarter by Caleb Williams and the Bears offense for their second comeback win over Green Bay this season.

Jordan Love and the offense rolled in the first quarter scoring a touchdown on their first three drives and were in a position to go ahead 24-3, but Brandon McManus missed a 55-year field goal and the lead was held to 18.

Green Bay then stalled on their next four drives all resulting in punts coming out of halftime meanwhile the Bears managed to put up just a field goal.

The fourth quarter, Chicago's offense took advantage of a winded defense for GB and brought the game to one score 21-16.

When they needed it most, Love connected with Matthew Golden for his first, and only, touchdown on the season, a 23-yarder putting them ahead 27-16 after McManus missed his second kick of the night this time an extra point.

McManus would go on to miss another field goal, a 44-yarder, that would've give Green Bay a chance to do damage with a field goal in the final possession, but instead Williams took the short field and connected with D.J. Moore for what would be the game winner.

Chicago led 31-27 and Green Bay would need a touchdown.

On their last drive, Love was just a bit off schedule on throws and it came down to one play with 7 seconds remaining, the snap was fumbled, Love picked it up and scrambled throwing up a prayer to the end zone that fell short in front of Bears defenders.

The second half struggles this season continued and Green Bay's season ends despite a strong effort from Jordan Love and a banged up first-string. Love finished 24/46 for 323 yards and four touchdowns. Watson, Doubs, Reed, and Golden were on the receiving end.

Regrouping for 2026-27 will begin after Green Bay makes their way back home following the 31-27 loss. Chicago will move on to face either the 2-seeded Philadelphia Eagles or 5-seeded Los Angeles Rams at home next weekend.
