A 22-4 run in the second quarter all but gave the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team its sweep of weekend of home games, taking the second contest by a score of 64-43 over Robert Morris.
The Phoenix opened the game slowly of offense, but their defense allowed them to open a 10-0 lead before the Colonials notched their first points of the game, ending the period on a 6-0 run of their own. Jenna Guyer's three-point prowess and continued tough defense from the entire team allowed the Phoenix to stretch the lead to 32-10. The Colonials played tighter to the Phoenix in the second half as the benches began to empty out.
Guyer led the way with 19 points while Maddy Skorupski added 11 points and Kristina Ouimette and Carley Duffney each chipped in eight points each.
The Phoenix hit the road this week for their Michigan swing, facing Oakland on Thursday before taking on Detroit Mercy on Saturday.
