Phoenix men down 'Dons

Two separate 10-plus runs gave the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team their first win of 2026, beating Purdue Fort Wayne 72-54 Thursday afternoon.

 

The Phoenix never trailed in the game, opening the game with a 15-0 run in the contest's first six minutes. While the Mastodons were able to trim the advantage to six points before the break, the Phoenix were able to stretch that lead back out to double digits before closing out the game on a 10-0 run.

 

 Justin Allen scored 21 points to lead the Phoenix and to match the Mastodons' Corey Hadnot II. Allen received support from Caden Wilkins' 17 points and Marcus Hall's 15 points. 

 

The Phoenix are back in action on Monday when they welcome Milwaukee to the Kress Events Center for the a 6 p.m. tip-off.
