Thanks to the injury bug hitting the team the last month of the season, the Green Bay Packers roster is getting a little makeover ahead of the New Year.
On Tuesday, The Packers claimed DL Jonathan Ford off waivers from the Chicago Bears, signed CB Shemar Bartholomew and CB Jaylin Simpson from the practice squad to the active roster, and placed CB Kamal Hadden and DL Jordon Riley On Wednesday, the Packers signed S Johnathan Baldwin and QB Clayton Tune from the practice squad to the active roster, signed G Karsen Barnhart, CB Tyron Herring and QB Desmond Ridder to the practice squad, and placed S Zayne Anderson and CB Nate Hobbs on injured reserve. The team also reportedly claimed CB Trevon Diggs from the Dallas Cowboys, adding more new faces.
The flurry of signings reflects the squad's injury report, which listed 12 players including QBs Jordan Love and Malik Willis, RB Josh Jacobs, and OL Zach Tom. The Packers are locked into the 7th seed of the NFL Playoffs with a date in either Chicago or Philadelphia looming after this Sunday's noon kickoff on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.
