UW-Green Bay Phoenix Women (9-5) remain a perfect 4-0 in conference play with a 89-55 victory over Wright State in Dayton, Ohio yesterday.
Jenna Guyer shot 9-12 from the field for 21 points and topped all scorers while being supported by Gracie Grzesk with 15 points off the bench.
The Phoenix shot an astonishing 61.4% inside the 3-pt arch while holding Wright State to 35%. UWGB's defense has ramped up and been a intregal part of their 9 wins on the season.
Green Bay also outscored Wright State by 34 points in the paint and converted all but 1 of their free throw attempts. Strong offense propelled by improving defense has been paramount to their recent success. UWGB has taken advantage of their size and quickness in the teams four Horizon League victories so far this season.
UW-Green Bay faces Cleveland State this Friday, Jan. 2 at the Kress Center and looks to improve their lead in the conference by remaining undefeated.
