Phoenix men wrap up non-conference schedule at Campbell

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team will try to wrap up its non-conference schedule and end its year on a high note all before dinner on Tuesday when they travel to face Campbell.

The Phoenix saw a double-digit lead disappear at the Kress Events Center, but this time held on to beat the UC-Santa Barbara  Gauchos 67-64. Marcus Hall led the Phoenix (6-7) with a season-high 25 points while Preston Ruedinger added eight points and Ramel Bethea, Keegan Van Kauwenberg, and Mac Wrecke each chipped in six points. After the game, head coach Doug Gottlieb announced he was stepping away from his radio show to focus on his head coaching duties and his family.

The Fighting Camels enter the game 5-7, with three of those losses coming against P5 Schools and one against seventh-ranked Gonzaga. The game will be reunion of sorts with Jeremiah Johnson, who starred on the Phoenix last year as a Phoenix and is averaging double-figures with the Fighting Camels.

Tip-off is set for 11 a.m.
