The Kewaunee, Luxemburg-Casco, Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol and Southern Door girls’ wrestling teams will compete in the Wrightstown Invitational on Friday.
Earlier this month, Kewaunee's Arianna Niemojuski went a perfect 4-0 to win the title at 165 pounds at the Papermaker Invitational. Kiley Georgel captured a big win at last weekend's Brillion Girls Tournament. She went a perfect 5-0 to win the title at 235 pounds, post five pins along the way. Jakayla Steinhorst went 4-1 to take 2nd place overall while Evelyn Lange did not place, but she did win three matches. For the Eagles, Skya Scrimgeour led the team with a 2nd place finish while Nora Lefevre and Sydney Turner took third place. SBS' Tiani Lemieux was the team's big winner, going 5-0 with four pins to capture first place at 165 pounds. Izzy Andreae won four matches while Anna Dalke and Kimberly Robertoy each captured two wins.
Other teams scheduled to attend include Berlin-Harris, Brillion, De Pere, Denmark, Fond du Lac, Freedom, Grafton, Green Bay Preble, Hustisford, Kiel, Little Chute, Marinette, Menominee, Notre Dame Academy, Oconto Falls, Peshtigo, Port Washington, Reedsville, Shiocton, Suring, Two Rivers, Waupaca, Wausau West, Winneconne, Wrightstown and Xavier.
Wrestling begins at 5:15 p.m.
