Packers hang on to beat Bears

It was a rough evening for Keisean Nixon, but his interception ended the game on a high note for the Green Bay Packers as they beat the Chicago Bears 28-21 Sunday evening.

After a scoreless first quarter, Jordan Love connected with Christian Watson and Bo Belton for long touchdown passes to give the Packers a 14-3 lead at halftime. The Bears made important adjustments in the locker room, scoring on their first three drives of the second half as Caleb Williams found Olamide Zaccheaus and Colston Loveland for touchdowns to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. The Packers followed up a second long touchdown pass to Christian Watson with a short touchdown run by Josh Jacobs, who kept the drive alive earlier by turning a 3rd-and-1 opportunity into a 21-yard gain. The Bears had a chance to tie the game late, but Nixon—who caused the Packers to be assessed more than 30 penalty yards due to his actions earlier in the game—hauled in an underthrown Williams pass to secure the victory.

Love ended the game with 234 yards and three passing touchdowns, overcoming an early interception. Jacobs rushed for 86 yards and a score, while Jayden Reed recorded four catches for 31 yards in his first game action since September.

The Packers will be on the road for the next two games with a Sunday matchup against the Denver Broncos before renewing pleasantries with the Bears the following Saturday.
