Packers run past Vikings

The Green Bay Packers controlled the pace from the opening snap as they beat the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday 23-6 in front of its Lambeau Field faithful.

After the Vikings took their first possession down the field for a long field goal, the Packers answered with a long drive that was capped off by a one-yard touchdown run by  Emmanuel Wilson. After the two teams traded field goals in the second quarter, the Packers took advantage of a muffed punt with a second Wilson touchdown before Brandon McManus capped off the scoring in the fourth quarter with two more field goals.

Jordan Love did not need to do much with an offensive game plan focused on the running game. He went 14/21 for 139 yards while Wilson ran the ball 28 times for 107 yards. The defense made it hard for rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy to get comfortable, sacking him five times and picking him off twice. Micah Parsons and Devonte Wyatt each had two sacks while Evan Williams and Isaiah McDuffie registered the interceptions.

The Packers will now quickly prepare for their Turkey Day matchup against the Detroit Lions.
