The Green Bay Gamblers are scheduled for back-to-back road games this Friday and Saturday, facing the Omaha Lancers at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena. The team is coming off a split series against the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders. The first game ended in a 5-3 loss for the Gamblers, despite a hat trick from Zach Wooten. Goalie Joey Slavick made 25 saves on 30 shots. The Gamblers secured a win in the second match, taking it 7-6 in a shootout. The goal-scorers included Geno Carcone, Elliot Gulley, Gunnar Conboy, Gavin Katz, and Zach Wooten, who netted two goals. The game-winning goal came from Gavin Katz in the shootout, after Joey Slavick stopped all three attempts by the Rough Riders. Slavick earned the win, recording 33 saves on 39 shots. Following his strong performance over the weekend, which included five goals, Zach Wooten was named USHL Forward of the Week.
