The UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team hosted the New Hampshire Wildcats this Thursday and won 76-64. The Phoenix opened the game with a Carley Duffey lay-up assisted by Maddy Skorupski, giving them a 2-0 lead. The Phoenix was able to maintain the lead throughout. The team's scoring was led by Duffney, who tallied 13 points, along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Kamy Peppler also put up strong numbers with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Meghan Schultz contributed 12 points and 4 rebounds. Other key contributors included Gracie Grzesk, who finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal, and Maddy Skorupski, who added 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Coming off the bench for the Phoenix were Kristina Ouimetee and Ellie Buzzele. Ouimette put up 12 points, a rebound, 2 assists, and a block. Buzzelle had 11 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal on 100% shooting. The Phoenix is now looking forward to Sunday as they are set to travel to face the Wisconsin Badgers.
