Blizzard announces coaching staff for 2026 season

The Green Bay Blizzard has finalized its coaching staff for the upcoming 2026 IFL season.

Head Coach & General Manager: Corey Robertson is entering his 7th year as Head Coach and 2nd year as General Manager. Under Robertson's leadership, the Blizzard achieved franchise milestones, including a record 14 wins and their first playoff berth in over a decade in 2024. The 2025 season saw the team go 12-7 and secure their first IFL Eastern Conference Championship, earning a spot in the IFL Championship Game.

Offensive Line Coach: Dean Picotte is returning for his 7th season. Picotte has been instrumental in the offensive line's success, with the Blizzard ranking in the top 5 for fewest sacks allowed in both 2024 and 2025. With nearly 30 years of experience as both a player and a coach, Picotte is now focused solely on the offensive line, having previously coached both offensive and defensive linemen.

Wide Receiver Coach: Marquel Willis is back for his 2nd year. In 2025, two Blizzard receivers, TJ Davis and Lowell Patron, finished in the top 10 for both receptions and receiving yards under his guidance. Willis is a former Blizzard player, having spent six seasons with the team and ranking highly in the IFL in 2017 (6th in receptions, 2nd in receiving yards, and 2nd in receiving touchdowns).

Team Analyst: Levi Nelson begins his 3rd year with the staff. Nelson brings a wealth of academic and coaching experience, including nine years of coaching high school football, a doctorate in sports and performance psychology, and a master's degree in sports science with an emphasis on coaching.

Defensive Line Coach: Deldrick Canty joins the staff for his inaugural season. Canty is a familiar face, having played four seasons as a defensive end for the Blizzard and four years of Division 1 football at Louisiana Tech University.

Assistant Defensive Line Coach: Sulaiman Kamara is also starting his first season coaching the Blizzard. Kamara was a standout at Wake Forest University before playing in the USFL and IFL, which included a stint with the Blizzard, where he was named team captain in 2025.
