With area volleyball teams wrapping up their season at the Resch Center this past weekend, some of those girls are already dreaming of a return trip this March.

 

Monday marks the opening day of the girls basketball season with the first practices taking place this afternoon. Area teams could play games as soon as November 18th with the end goal being a date at the Resch Center March 12th-14th for the 50th edition of the WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament. 

 

Before then, dozens of games will have to be played including the opening matchup for the area's teams:

 

Luxemburg-Casco: 11/18 @ Bay Port

Sevastopol: 11/18 @ Bonduel

Gibraltar: 11/18 @ Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 

Kewaunee: 11/18 vs. Denmark

Sturgeon Bay: 11/20 @ Chilton

Southern Door: 11/20 vs. Mishicot

Algoma: 11/21 @ Denmark
