Packers tight end Tucker Kraft out for season with torn ACL

The Green Bay Packers announced today that promising tight end Tucker Kraft will miss the remainder of the 2025 NFL season due to a torn ACL. The injury occurred during Sunday’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field. In the third quarter, Kraft went down awkwardly while blocking for running back Josh Jacobs. Following the game, Head Coach Matt LaFleur addressed the media, expressing concern about Kraft’s condition. When asked about the injury, LaFleur stated to reporters, “It doesn’t look good.” Before this season-ending injury, Kraft was having a phenomenal breakout year. Through the eight games he played, the second-year tight end led the team in receptions with 30, accumulating 469 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns. In Kraft’s absence, end Luke Musgrave is expected to step into a larger role within the Packers' offense. There has also been some speculation surrounding Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, who may make a last-minute trade before Tuesday's NFL deadline.
