Phoenix women's basketball hosts Pioneers for exhibition

The UW-Green Bay women's basketball team is set to tip off its new season this
Saturday, October 19th, with a home exhibition game against UW-Platteville. The Phoenix enters the season with high expectations after a dominant performance last year, where they clinched the Horizon League conference title with an impressive 19-1 conference record and a 29-6 overall record. Their successful season concluded in the first round of the NCAA tournament, where they lost 81-67 to Alabama. Beyond their on-court achievements, the UW-Green Bay women's basketball program also received national recognition for its academic excellence. The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) named UW-Green Bay the highest team GPA in the nation among all NCAA Division I programs. The Phoenix's first regular-season game will be at home against UW-Stevens Point on November 3rd.
