The month-long wait was worth it for green-and-gold-clad fans as the Green Bay Packers led wire-to-wire in a 27-18 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Packers scored the game's first 10 points courtesy of a field goal and a Josh Jacobs rushing touchdown from three yards out. The Bengals responded with a touchdown of their own to open the third quarter, but that set off a scoring frenzy that saw the teams combine for three touchdowns and two field goals. The Packers ended up finding the endzone twice in the final frame, courtesy of a 14-yard score from Jacobs and a 19-yard catch and run from Tucker Kraft.
Jordan Love went 19-26 for 259 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Jacobs led the way on the ground with 93 yards on 18 carries to go with his two touchdowns.
Packers fans will now have to wait until November 2nd before seeing their team back at Lambeau Field again. The Packers will face the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday before traveling to Pittsburgh for a highly anticipated matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers.
