The Green Bay Gamblers went 2-for-3 on their power play opportunities en route to a 5-1 win over Team USA on Sunday.
After Geno Carcone opened the scoring halfway through the first period, David Rozsival and Cody Sokol registered the power-play goals to push the lead to 3-0 Gamblers before the end of the second period. The two squads traded goals in the third period with Landon Hafele and Nate Bienstock sandwiching a Team USA goal.
Hafele posted a three-point night while Carcone and Gavin Katz also registered multi-point nights. Leo Henriquez had a calm night between the pipes because of the defense in front of him. He stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced.
The Gamblers are back in action Friday and Saturday when they welcome Waterloo to the Resch Center.
