The Green Phoenix Men’s Basketball team released its 2025-2026 season schedule earlier this week.
In their last season, newly hired coach Doug Gottlieb, and the Phoenix had an overall record of 4-28 and went 2-18 in the Horizon League.
During the off-season, the Phoenix made a lot of roster moves. Through the transfer portal, the Phoenix acquired Ramel Bethea (29-year-old 6’9” forward-center sophomore), LeBron Thomas (Jr. guard), Rob Straud (Sr. guard), and Justin Allen (Sr. guard). More additions to the team include the incoming freshman, Maruan Cicic (7’ C from Montenegro), Vukasin Todorovic (6’8” F from Slovenia), Keegan Van Kauwenberg (G from Kaukauna, WI), and Trey Schachter (G from Pittsburgh, PA). Also, former NBA player and UWGB alumnus Keifer Sykes was hired as the program's general manager.
