The Green Bay Packers made plenty of roster news ahead of their matchup against the Washington Commanders on Thursday.
On the practice field, the Packers signed RB Pierre Strong Jr. to the practice squad and released RB Israel Abanikanda. Strong was a fourth-round draft pick of the New England Patriots in 2022 and had played regular-season games for the Patriots and the Cleveland Browns.
On the injury front, 13 players were listed on the injury report, five of whom would not have practiced on Monday if practice had been hosted. Starting offensive linemen Zach Tom and Aaron Banks, both of whom got injured during Sunday's win against the Detroit Lions, are highlighted on the list. Only seven Commanders players are listed, including just one on the "did not participate" list if they would have had practice.
