DCBL passes out postseason awards

With the regular season complete and stats tallied, the Door County Baseball League has announced its 2025 Awards.  The Batting Championship Award goes to Washington Island’s Luke Geiger, with a batting average of .452.  Batters with over a .400 average this year include Geiger .452 28x62, Austin Rohe (Kolberg) .434 23x53, Alec Schartner (West Jacksonport) .432 16x37, Tom Sawyer (Sister Bay) .426 23x54, Jack Peterson (Kolberg) .413 19x46, and Trevor Reinhardt (Kolberg) .409 24x59.  In addition, the DCBL Managers voted Trevor Reinhardt, Kolberg Braves, as Pitcher of the Year.  Reinhardt finished with 109 strikeouts and allowed 16 runs in 83.1 innings during the regular season. DCBL Managers also voted Charlie Wood, Baileys Harbor, Manager of the Year.  Wood bought his team out of a long losing streak to a 7-7 season.

 

The Kolberg Braves captured the Post-Season Championship Title with a 7-0 win over the Sister Bay Braves.
