With the 53-man roster deadline set for 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers and head coach Matt LaFleur were busy making decisions on who would fill each opening.
Continuing a 21-year tradition, the Packers kept an undrafted rookie on the initial roster. This time it was defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse out of Georgia.
With initial depth concerns at wide receiver, the return of Christian Watson delayed until Week 4, and the addition of first-round pick Matthew Golden, Green Bay kept six wide receivers and cut veteran Mecole Hardman, a speedster who spent much of his career in Kansas City as part of three Super Bowl-winning seasons.
Bo Melton also made the 53-man roster after making the switch from WR to CB this offseason, not a surprising move considering Matt LaFleur was high on Melton all camp, but an impressive transition nonetheless.
