Cross country, volleyball, soccer enter the fray

More local athletes will head to practice for the first time on Monday as high school sports continue to ramp up.

Girls' volleyball, boys' soccer, and cross country will have their first workouts on Monday, and their first competitions will be just over a week later on August 26th.

Two sports can have their first competitions later this week, with girls' swimming beginning as early as Wednesday and football starting as soon as Thursday.

NEW Radio Sports Network will broadcast its first games of the season on Friday with Gibraltar hosting Wabeno/Laona on 105.1 The GOAT, Luxemburg-Casco welcoming Seymour on 104.1 WRLU, and Southern Door traveling to New Holstein on U-102.1
