Casco kept its season alive Wednesday night with a 6-5 win over Denmark, forcing a decisive game three in the Shoreland League Championship Series tonight at 7:30 p.m.
The game ebbed and flowed all night with both teams trading blows through the first six innings. The A's responded to an early deficit in the first inning with two runs of their own, only to see the Devilbears respond with a two-run rally. The A's scored in the third and fourth innings to take a short-lived lead as the Devilbears responded with single tallies in the fifth and sixth innings. The A's would take the lead for good with a two-run rally in the seventh inning on a homer by Trevor Reinhardt, matching teammate Mitch Jandrin's two-run shot from the first inning. The Devilbears put the tying and go-ahead runs on base in the ninth before Noah Lindsley finished the job with his sixth strikeout of the game.
Reinhardt went 3-4 with two RBI, while Blake Robillard also posted a multi-hit game. Jandin, Reinhardt, Robillard, and Owen Deprez all drove in runs for the A's to force game three.
