Casco looks to keep season alive against Denmark

Two potential home games could help Casco win a Shoreland League Championship if they can erase a 1-0 series deficit to the Denmark Devilbears beginning on Wednesday.

The Athletics outhit the Devilbears 5-2 on Monday, but it was an error that pushed across the game's first run in the seventh inning when Hayden Konkol scored from second. Two errors in the eighth helped the Devilbears score their insurance run as they went on to win 2-0. The three errors spoiled a strong performance from Collin Lacey, who allowed the two runs (0 ER) on one hit, striking out seven along the way. Kyle Routhieaux matched the Devilbears' offensive output with two hits, with Lacey, Owen Deprez, and Cole Bzdawka also contributing.

First pitch on Wednesday and potentially Thursday is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
