The Green Bay Rockers hope returning home on Monday will take away the sting of its weekend trip to Madison after losing 5-1 to the Mallards on Sunday.
All the scoring happened in the first three innings of the game, with the Mallards opening the game with two runs in the first inning and three runs in the second inning. Gavin Brummund took the brunt of the damage on the mound for the Rockers, allowing five runs (4 ER) on six hits while recording two strikeouts. A one-out homer by Collin Helms accounted for the only run scored by the Rockers in the game. Helms went 3-3 on the night with a double to go along with the homer. Joe Mennella was the only other player to record a hit in the game for the Rockers as they were outhit 9-4 on the day.
The Rockers return home for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
