Rockers edged by 'Chucks

A seven-run fifth inning turned the tides against the Green Bay Rockers as they ended up falling 10-9 to the Wausau Woodchucks on Thursday.

After both teams scored twice in the first inning, a three-run homer by Joe Mennella capped off a four-run rally for the Rockers. After the the Woodchucks scored eight runs unanswered including their seven-run frame in the fifth, the Rockers made a comeback in the sixth with three runs, but could not scratch across another run to fall just short.

David Ballenilla homered twice to knock in four runs to complement Mennella's homer. Payton Mansfield went 3-5 and a RBI for the Rockers in the loss.
