The Door County Baseball League ended its July slate of games with a bang on Sunday.
Kolberg completed a dominating weekend with a 12-0 win over West Jacksonport, 24 hours after beating Institute in a similar fashion, 10-0. Trevor Reinhardt, Nick LeCaptain, and Austin Dart all had two RBI games, with Reinhardt, Austen Rohe, Jack Peterson, Dart, and Charlie Neinas all collecting hits. Reinhardt earned the win on the mound, striking out seven while allowing the Ports' only hit across five innings. Derek Niedzwiecki registered the lone hit for the Ports.
A pair of four-run innings and seven Mets errors led Sister Bay to an 11-3 win on the road. The Bays outhit the Mets 17-7, with Chubs Laughlin, Stew Larsen, Griffin Cole, and Sawyer Johnson all registering three hits. Laughlin and Larsen had three RBI apiece. Sam Forkert went nine innings, allowing two runs (2 ER) on six hits while striking out six. Kody Kissinger and Tory Jandrin each had two hits, and Zach Marchant, Jandrin, and Mason Kovacs each had an RBI.
Washington Island beat Baileys Harbor 6-4 in the other DCL game on Sunday.
