Indians pound Cubs

A 10-run outburst by Egg Harbor gave them more than enough to get past Institute in a 17-5 win.

In that inning, the Indians collected six hits and took advantage of multiple Cubs errors to pile up the runs. All told, the Indians outhit the Cubs 15-6 while the Cubs provided their opponents with extra outs due to six errors. The Cubs put up their own crooked number in the sixth inning, scoring all five of their runs.

The Indians received three-hit games from Anthony Jennerjohn and Brody Kollath and two-hit games from Brady Kita and Cole Frangpiane. Jennerjohn and Cory Fuller each drove in three runs.

The Cubs were paced by Jared Pflieger, who went 2-3 and an RBI. Robby Pollman, Pflieger, and Juston Williams all drove in one run.

Drew Price took the win on the mound, striking out nine across five innings. Williams took the loss, allowing 12 runs (5 ER) on 10 hits across 4.1 innings.
