Luxemburg's Ravet captures top K/D Tournament prize

Congratulations again to Steve Ravet of Luxemburg for his first place catch — a 33.60-pound Chinook — in the 2025 K/D Salmon Tournament, the 13th heaviest in the K/D’s 43-year history.

With record participation of 3,967 men, women and youth anglers, this year's payout again surpassed $100,000 in cash and prizes! In addition to the many bonus prizes and the K/D cash listed here, there were 50 daily port prize packages and nine early-bird prizes awarded.

A year after 14 salmon larger than 30 pounds hit the scale, Ravet's fish was the only 30+. There was also a big drop in 25-pound-plus trophies. In 2024, 164 25+ were brought to tournament scales; this year, there were only 10. And 100th place a year ago was 25.85 pounds; this year, it was 20.39.

But no matter the size, the competition was wide open for everyone, and the payouts much larger in the top 30 than ever before.

Thank you to all who participated in any way; whether fishing, cheering on your favorite angler, or just following along on Facebook. We appreciate you! Next year’s 43rd annual ‘K/D’ is set for July 10-19, 2026.
