Rockers fall late to Mallards

The Madison Mallards scored five runs in the final two innings to beat the Green Bay Rockers 6-2 on Tuesday night.

 

The Rockers and Mallards traded runs early with Green Bay taking the lead in the seventh inning on a RBI single from Joe Mennella. The wheels fell off in the eighth inning when the Mallards tallied three runs, including a two-run homer by MJ Sweeney. The Mallards scored two more runs to put the game away. 

 

Aidan Kuni registered two hits to pace the Rockers in the loss. Ethan Alexander took the loss, allowing the fatal three runs over his 1.2 innings of work.
