The Green Bay Rockers have not lost since being no-hit by the Madison Mallards last weekend. They extended their winning streak with an 8-5 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks on Thursday.
The Rockers scored a run in the first four innings, but still found themselves trailing 5-4 after five innings, after Chinooks scored four times in the fourth inning and twice in the fifth inning. The Rockers took control in the sixth inning, scoring three times as they took advantage of a Chinooks error. They added an insurance run in the seventh inning courtesy of another Chinooks error.
Eric Jeon collected two hits and two RBI in the lead-off spot while Cooper Smith collected three RBI on a 1-5 night. Jack Fortner picked up the win in relief as the Rockers used four pitchers, including Kenney Fabian pitching the first three innings and Drew Aguiar throwing in the final three frames.
