Islanders take care of Cubs

Two run rallies in the second, fourth, and seventh innings gave Washington Island the 6-1 Father's Day win over Institute.

An Alex Johnson two-run double gave the Islanders the early 2-0 lead before Robbie Pollman cut the lead in half with a fourth-inning lead-off homer for the Cubs. Luckily for the Islanders, they were able to get that run back and then some in their half of the fourth inning thanks to RBI ground out and a bases-loaded walk. The islanders capped off their scoring a few innings later on a passed ball and a Caleb Cornell single.

The combination of Alex Johnson and Ben Johnson posted five of the Islanders' eight hits and one of the two RBI. Pollman went 2-4 with the lone RBI for the Cubs as three others picked up hits in the loss.
