Rockers top Pit Spitters

The Green Bay Rockers earned a second straight win over the Traverse City Pit Spitters on Sunday, this time by a 3-1 margin.

 

The Rockers were down 1-0 when they registered all three runs in the sixth inning. Collin Helms doubled in the game-tying run before coming around to score along with Justin Journette on a Cooper Smith single.

 

The Rockers were outhit 7-6 with Smith leading the way with two knocks. Maddox Long earned the victory on the mound, allowing one run (1 ER) on four hits while striking out seven.
