Lambeau Field gets Wisconsin/Notre Dame date

Five years after being canceled due to COVID-19, Lambeau Field knows when it will host Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

The two programs announced on Wednesday that the two teams will play on September 6th, 2026, in front of a national audience on NBC. The game will be a part of a whole Labor Day weekend of college football. The two teams were supposed to play each other in the fall of 2020, but the matchup was postponed when the Big Ten opted to play a conference-only schedule in the wake of the pandemic.

The game will officially be a home contest for the Fighting Irish as part of its Shamrock Series. This will mark the second time the Badgers have played at Lambeau Field after sneaking past LSU in 2016. This is the second of a two-game series between the Fighting Irish and the Badgers, with the Golden Domers blowing out Bucky at Soldier Field in Chicago 41-13 in 2021.
