Max Bourdeau complemented a grand slam slugged by Alec Schartner in West Jacksonport's 10-2 win over Maplewood.
The bulk of the damage came late as the Mets took an early 1-0 lead on a RBI single by Kordell Draves. Bourdeau's homer tied the game at one in the third inning when he slugged it over the centerfield fence. The Ports added two more in the fourth before Schartner delivered the game's big blow as part of a five-run sixth inning. Draves homered in the seventh inning to end the scoring for both teams.
Draves, Tory Jandrin, and Nolan Wagner all had two hits for the Mets, with Draves driving in both runs. For the Ports, Schartner, C.J. Goetz, Derek Niedzwiecki, and Riley Cordier registered multi-hit games, with five players driving in at least one run.
