Kolberg scored at least eight runs in an inning twice as they demolished Institute 26-4.
The Braves were already up 3-0 when they batted around the first time in the second inning while scoring eight runs. They piled up six hits in the frame, including a grand slam off the bat of Austin Rohe. After scoring another three runs in the third inning, the Braves hung another 10 runs in the fourth inning, including five free passes with the bases loaded via walks and hit by pitches and a three-run homer from Rohe. The Braves would score two more runs the rest of the way while the Cubs scratched across four runs in the seventh inning on a RBI single from Arthur Hocevar, a double from Sam Zirbel, and a ground out by Nick Peterson.
The Braves pounded out 21 hits in the game, including five from Charlie Neinas, four by Rohe, three from Nick LeCaptain, and two from Logan Jenquart and Sam Koss. Six Braves players collected multi-RBI games including seven from Rohe and five from Neinas. Robby Pollman and Hocevar each garnered two hits with Zirbel driving in two of the four runs.
