The Green Bay Gamblers completed their Phase 1 and 2 drafts this past Monday and Tuesday. Players in the 16-year-old age category (2009 birth years) are eligible to be selected in the Phase I Draft, and players in the 17-year-old age category through the 20-year-old age category are eligible to be selected in the Phase II Draft (2005-2008 birth years).

The Phase 2 draft had the Gamblers trade up to the #1 overall pick, taking forward Landon Hafele of the United States National Team Development Program. The Gamblers also acquired highly touted forward Gavin Katz in a trade with Muskegon. Katz, who is committed to the University of Minnesota, starred this past year at Shattuck St. Mary’s, same program that produced USHL Player of the Year Will Zellers and Aidan Park.
