Phoenix women add player from conference rival

The portal has been fruitful for the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team as they work to replace its seven seniors.

The program announced on Friday its signing of Maddy Skorupski after an All-Horizon League season at Oakland University. In Horizon League games, the 5'8" guard averaged 16.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.8 steals per game.

Head coach Kayla Karius expressed her joy to signing the high-scoring guard, telling GreenBayPhoenix.com that "we've known her as an opponent, we believe she's a great fit for the Green Bay culture and our program."
