The Green Bay Gamblers' season ended in the state's capital city on Tuesday, falling 5-3 to the Madison Capitols.
The Gamblers found themselves in a 3-0 hole after the first period and they were behind 4-0 before Will Zellers found the back in the net in the closing minutes of the second half. Anthony Cardilli and Egor Shilov scored goals for the Gamblers to get the game to within one with less than seven minutes in the game. The Capitols would put the game and the season away with an empty net goal by Gavin Uhlenkamp. The Gamblers were flustered by goaltender Caleb Heil, who stopped 31 of the 34 shots he faced.
