A Horizon League Regular Season title is on the line Saturday afternoon at the Kress Events Center as the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team plays Purdue Fort Wayne.
The Phoenix women have been off since knocking off their in-state rivals Milwaukee last Saturday 68-45. A 17-0 run by the Phoenix made the game academic before the teams entered the locker room. Part of that run included Maddy Schreiber registering her 1000th point as a Phoenix, the 41st player in program history to accomplish the feat. Schreiber would end her day with a game-high 18 points, Jasmine Kondrakiewicz added 12 points, Jenna Guyer chipped in nine points, and Cassie Schiltz contributed eight.
The Mastodons were boasting a long winning streak themselves until they fell to Cleveland State earlier in February. The Mastodons beat the Phoenix in Fort Wayne 67-66. The Phoenix trailed by five at the break and could never recover in that game as the Mastodon's Lauren Ross led all scorers with 25 points. Jasmine Kondrakiewicz did her best to counter Ross' success with 20 points.
Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
