Phoenix men begin last homestand on Thursday

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team will play its final home games of the season this week when they welcome the Horizon League's Detroit-area teams to the Resch Center.

After winning their first game since November on February 16th against Wright State, they dropped two competitive games against Robert Morris and Youngstown State last weekend. In their game against the Penguins on Sunday, Marcus Hall led the way with his 16 points, making it the second consecutive contest where he paced the Phoenix in scoring. Mac Wrecke and Ben Tweedy also reached double figures with 15 and 13 points.

Detroit-Mercy is the first of the Michigan teams to draw the ire of the Phoenix on Thursday. They come into the matchup with an overall record of 8-21, including a 4-14 mark in the Horizon League. On Saturday, Oakland comes to town boasting a mark of 10-8 in the Horizon League and 13-16 overall. Both teams are near the bottom in scoring in the Horizon League.

Tip-off for both games is set for 6 p.m.
