Phoenix play rivalry game against Milwaukee Saturday

The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team looks for its 18th win in a row when they play in-state rival Milwaukee at the Kress Events Center on Saturday.

The Phoenix showed how the Cleveland State Vikings how to finish a half in women's basketball as they secured a 59-50 win on the road Wednesday night. The Phoenix outscored the Vikings 21-11 in the second quarter and 20-10 in the fourth quarter to secure their 17th straight victory. Maddy Schreiber led the way with 16 points, two points away from hitting the 1,000-point milestone. Bailey Butler added 15 points, and Natalie McNeal contributed another 12 points.

The Panthers sit in 10th place in the Horizon League, but they are playing some of their best basketball of the season as the winners of three of their past five games, including consecutive victories over Oakland and IU-Indianpolis.

Tip-off is 1 p.m.

In Friday's action, the Phoenix men could not come up with enough stops in a 94-85 loss to Robert Morris. The defeat spoiled a career-high for Marcus Hall, who registered 29 points to complement Jeremiah Johnson's 17 points and C.J. O'Hara's 12 points.
