Phoenix men drop 21st game in a row, women look to win at Detroit

A dry spell late in the first half proved fatal for the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team as they lost to Northern Kentucky 73-60 at the Kress Events Center.

The Phoenix held a five-point lead before the Norse went on a 9-0 run that proved to be enough for them to hold on. They would get the game to within six points late in the second half, but the Norse would prove to be too much in the end to give the Phoenix their 21st straight loss. Marcus Hall scored 19 points to lead the Phoenix. Foster Wonders added 11 points, and Jeremiah Johnson tacked on eight in the loss.

The Phoenix women will try to add some joy for Green Bay fans when they play at Detroit Mercy at noon.
