Gamblers open home-and-home Friday vs. Madison

Two in-state rivals will meet at each other's home rinks this weekend as the Green Bay Gamblers play a two-game series against the Madison Capitols.

In their last game, the Gamblers returned from a heart-breaking Teddy Bear Toss night loss to beat Waterloo 5-1 on Tuesday. The Gamblers took a 3-0 lead before the Blackhawks could get on the scoreboard. Will Zellers registered three points thanks to two third-period goals. Aidan Park posted two points with a goal and an assist.

The Capitols are 2-0-1 this month, with an overtime loss to Chicago, the lone blemish in the stretch. They currently sit two points above the Gamblers in the standings at fourth place.

The Gamblers host the Capitols on Friday at the Resch Center for 7:05 p.m. puck drop before doing the same in Madison on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
