Two venues, one loss for Phoenix men vs. Mastodons

On Sunday, the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team saw plenty of change in a short period of time, but it resulted in another loss, this time an 83-67 decision to Purdue Fort Wayne.

Power outage issues forced the game at the Resch Center to be delayed first by 20 minutes before it was eventually delayed for almost two hours as it was moved to the Kress Events Center. It didn't change the result, as the Phoenix fell behind early before a 15-0 run by the Mastodons put them in a hole they would never be able to dig out of. The 20-point halftime advantage would grow to as much as 23 points before the Phoenix posted an 8-0 run to shrink the deficit before the Mastodons held them at bay the rest of the way.

Preston Ruedinger led the way for the Phoenix with 12 points. Ryan Wade added 11 points, while Ben Tweedy and Marcus Hall chipped in nine. Quinton Morton-Robertson led all scorers with 16 points for the Mastodons.

The Phoenix will hit the road this week for a pair of games, beginning with Wright State on Thursday at 6 p.m., followed by a trip to Northern Kentucky on Saturday for a noon tip.
